Distance Reiki is perfect for those who are unable to travel for a multitude of reasons and is a great alternative to an in-person session. I have found that distance Reiki is just as productive and can be used successfully for the client, as well as animals. Some people may like this option better, as you can receive the benefits of Reiki while enjoying the comforts of your own home. Distance Reiki works by invoking the “distance symbol”, which has been given to the practitioner through what is called an attunement. This allows the practitioner to send healing Reiki energy across time and space. Blockages in our bodies and chakra systems can be cleared like they could be in person. We are all connected, we are all energetic beings and part of the larger whole. Invoking the distance symbol allows the practitioner to link up to the energy field of the recipient. This can also be enhanced using crystals, simply by directing intentions and positive energy to that person.
